ASCENSION takes over Apollo Turku, Finland: a full-spectrum techno night in two rooms

Turku’s underground scene is set for a defining moment as ASCENSION returns to Apollo Live Club with its most complete showcase to date — a night built around two rooms, contrasting energies, and a carefully curated balance between international techno power and Finland’s emerging talent.

This is the second ASCENSION event. The first edition took place in Tampere on 11.4, marking the launch of ASCENSION as a collaboration between BASS GAME by Milla Lehto and EXISTENCE, founded by Annie Hill and Danny Fontana.

Chapter 1: The Activation marks the beginning of the series — a return to instinct, a reset into presence, and the start of an ongoing narrative built event by event.

At the center of the night is the Mainstage, led by a strong international and domestic lineup featuring Teenage Mutants (DRUMCODE), Milla Lehto, Danny Fontana, and TMPR.

Together, they shape a journey through peak-time techno, groove-driven intensity, and direct club energy designed for continuous movement on the dancefloor.

Each artist brings a distinct identity: Teenage Mutants with their DRUMCODE-driven peak-time power, Milla Lehto her dark and fierce combination of modern melodic techno and psytrance.

Danny Fontana with technical precision and production-focused club control, and TMPR delivering melodic yet forceful techno designed for festival and club peak moments.

In contrast, the second room offers a more direct and groove-focused direction. Hosted by Annie Hill, the space is built around a special 3-hour extended set moving through groovy, raw and hypnotic techno with fast-paced flow all night. Joining her is Turku-based artist ALLFIVE, adding a local underground perspective rooted in hardgroove-driven rhythm and driving club energy.

Together, the two rooms form a complete ASCENSION experience — moving between scale and intimacy, intensity and control, without separating the flow of the night.

Apollo Live Club provides the ideal setting for this concept: a venue capable of supporting both high-energy mainstage moments and a more focused, groove-led second room.

ASCENSION continues to position itself as a platform built on collaboration, long-form DJ sets, and the development of Finnish techno culture through carefully curated experiences.
